Beaufort Vineyard & Estate Winery
The Beaufort team is dedicated to crafting excellent, small batch wines and to environmental sustainability in the vineyard. Pacific Agricultural Certification Society (PACS) recently acknowledged the official transition to organic agriculture in the Beaufort Vineyard, marking the first step towards an official organic status. The big barn at the top of the driveway is a happy mix of informal and elegant, and a great place to bring a picnic and enjoy the view of the vineyard and mountains. The tasting room is typically open from mid May until mid September, with some special openings/events throughout the year.
Blue Moon Farm, Winery and Ciderworx
At Blue Moon Winery and Ciderworx they grow, gather and ferment the flavours of the land to offer you hand-crafted award winning spirited fruit wines and sparkling ciders. Inspiration comes from the scrumptious organic fruits collected from Vancouver Island, the ancient history of the craft of fermentation and the lively traditions they now seek to revive. Their award winning fruit wines and ciders are crafted from 100% BC organic fruit, picked at the peak of the harvest and created in small batches. What happens when you ferment an apple or a berry? Wine and Cider-making on the farm is a process of discovery – a combination of chemistry, ecology, alchemy, engineering, wishful thinking, old world wisdom, farm ingenuity and adventurous experimentation
Coastal Black Estate Winery
Coastal Black is an award winning 600 acre estate fruit winery nestled at the base of Mt. Washington, on the outskirts of the beautiful Comox Valley. The family farm is made up of four generations living and working together to produce product of the highest standard, whether it be wine, fresh market fruit, raw honey or custom milled lumber. 80 acres of blackberries are grown on site, making them the largest cultivated blackberry farm in all of Canada. As well, they handle all pollinating in the Vineyard with their own bees, which provide for their unique signature Blackberry Honey and a fine selection of Meads. Growing more than just blackberries, they have an additional 20 acres of both blueberries and raspberries. All operations strive for organic practices and preservation of the land, air and waterways.
